INVISIBILIA MUNDI
This prohotographic project is entitled Invisibilia Mundi and it integrates multiple photographs taken with a microscope and macro lenses. What apperars in the photographs are crystals that I have created specifically the project and the objective of the proposal is to make visible what is invisible.
There are also photographs showing small minerals, as well as some are cyanotypes and, as a whole, I ask myself and the reader about the relationships between the microcosm and the macrocosm.
I have also considered taxonomies of science and, thereforem starting from the classification proposed by Linnaeus, I have used imagination and fantasy to identify, in crystals, entire universes.
In other words: it is an invitation to an invisible world, to a whole universe, located inside tiny crystals.
This photographic series has been published in a photobook, in which I have also incorporated texts that dialogue with the photographs and I have also indicated the different types of salt and acids used to create the crystals, as well as which type corresponds to each photograph.
If you wish, you can see the photobook here, or in the following page.
